Japanese-style Pestle (Surikogi) 9.5″

Description

This wooden pestle gently presses ingredients into the grooves of a suribachi (mortar) to break them down. These pestles are made using higher janka hardness wood than the typical bleached softwood pestles found elsewhere. This higher hardness allows the pestle to grind into the Suribachi without being damaged.
